WGC Dell Match Play Gambling Preview

This week the PGA Tour takes golf fans to Austin, Texas for the WGC Dell Match Play. Following along with the theme of March Madness, this tournament gives us the chance to fill out a bracket and compete. Austin Country Club has been the site of this tournament for years now, and has provided a solid venue for match play competition. Last year’s winner Scottie Scheffler will return to defend (once again), along with a slew of other match play heavy weights. Kisner will be one to keep any eye on, even though the game hasn’t been great he’s a dawg in match play. This will be a great warmup for some of the guys to get ready for the Ryder Cup later this year, so I think we’re going to see some serious competition. The Field:
This week’s field is only missing two of the Top 25 players in the world, JT and Cam Smith. JT has played several weeks in a row so I think he’s taking some time off ahead of getting geared up for The Masters. It’s a designated event purse, with $3.6 million going to the winner, so as we have seen this year that usually brings the stars out in droves. There are some guys playing really good golf right now who will have solid odds, and match play usually gives more chances for chaos, so I think we are in for a great event this week.
