2023 U.S Open Preview & Picks The 123rd U.S Open bring us to Los Angeles Country Club for the first major ever held at the
The Zurich Classic of 2023 was a thrilling golf tournament held at the beautiful TPC Louisiana golf course. The event, which featured a unique team format, with an unlikely winner! The first round saw some impressive performances from the likes of Beau Hossler and Wyndham Clark, who shot a remarkable 61 (-11) to take an early lead. They kept the lead heading into the weekend.
Featuring a Fourball Format, Saturday, and Alternative Shot, Sunday, the third and fourth rounds were filled with intense action and drama, as several teams jostled for position on the leaderboard. In the final round, the tension reached fever pitch as the top teams battled it out for the title. But it was Nick Hardy and Davis Riley who held their nerve, with Riley sinking a crucial putt to seal the win. The duo finished with a total score of 30 under par, two shots clear of their nearest rivals.
The Zurich Classic of 2023 was a truly memorable tournament, showcasing some of the up and coming talent on the PGA Tour. Fans were treated to four days of thrilling action, culminating in a well-deserved victory for Hardy and Riley.
What a weekend for these two! Hardy and Riley earn a two-year PGA Tour exemption along with some sheckles ($2,485,400) for their performance this weekend. These two only carded a single bogey the entire tournament which was the main factor in this weekend’s win. The Team Format together was nothing new as they played together in the America Junior Golf Association Wyndham Cup back in 2014. Although this isn’t a Major or a designated event, watching these two compete makes golf fun to watch after all the years of time and dedication these two have put into their game. It surely paid off! Looking forward to see these two compete in the tournaments to come.

Clutch. I know for me this is either a blade into the water or a chilly dip special…… Not for Davis. Watch this clutch putt to move them into outright first place on Sunday.
What a putt 🔥

These two have become quite good friends as they both compete in almost every PGA Tour event over the course of the season. These two decided to play together this weekend, finishing solo 6th (-25). With quite the different backgrounds Keith has grown fond of Sungjae teaching him Georgia Bull Dawg Football. See a post round interview picturing their interesting relationship

Look I usually give you a cool mic’d up video or an astonishing hole in one. I couldn’t narrow it down so here is the Top 10 shots from this past weekend.

Harris English & Tom Hoge +135
Luke List & Henrik Norlander +210
Harris English and Tom Hoge came up clutch for Swindle this weekend notching the first lock of the weekend. All weekend long, these two were in striking distance of the leaders but shot a below average 73 on Sunday. We will take what we can get
Luke List and Henrik Norlander were in the on the Top 20 line all weekend…..then Sunday rolled around and couldn’t quite manage to seal the deal finishing one shot out of 20th place
Patrick Cantlay & Xander Schauffele -160
Sam Burns & Billy Horschel +120
Xander and Patrick with an pick locked up! These two tied the tournament alternative shot record on day 2 shooting 63 (-9). They would of had the record is the rain didn’t delay their round on the back 9. This one was expected but always nice to cash it!
Sam Burns and Billy Horschel finshed T11. Ugh. One shot. This one stings a tad
Sahith Theegala and Justin Suh was the same story line as English and Hoge. Striking distance of the leaders all weekend long. On the 72nd hole they triple bogey and dive down the leaderboard.
Buckley and J.J Spaun have the same story. +2 on Sunday will never get it done. JO will get a Buckley victory someday…..
Morikawa & Homa over Cantlay & Schauffele +140
Now I must admit, this was a bit of a hedge play to our Top 10 Finish pick of Cantlay/Schauffele. We figured if the Cantlay/Schauffele crew couldn’t crack the Top 10, it was becuase Team Homakawa knocked them out of the Top 10 with a little better odds.
